Things to know about links on this website and my editorial policy concerning product reviews and paid sponsorships.

Some links on this website are affiliate links for third party products and services. These links typically have "geni.us" in their URL, which is a smart link service I use for localizing, tracking and managing links. The affiliate programs I use most often are at Amazon, B&H, Adorama, Best Buy, Newegg, Moment, eBay and other photo and video e-commerce marketplaces.

If a purchase is made using one of those links, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to the purchaser. Affiliate links from this site lead to the same product pages visitors see under normal circumstances.

I'm also an affiliate member with a number of individual brands and businesses. For example, photography hardware companies like PolarPro, iFootage, and Freewell, in addition to software companies like Topaz Labs, DxO and Backblaze. Occasionally I receive special discount codes and coupons from these companies to share with my audience.

Product reviews feature products I purchased with my own money or that were freely sent to me for testing, feedback, and critique. Parent companies of those products never see videos or articles prior to publication, aren't paying me to create the reviews, and don't have any involvement in the editorial content (other than answering questions, if I have any).

I sometimes work with brands (eg, Skillshare) who support my work through paid sponsorships. As a general rule, I only accept sponsorships from companies producing products and/or services I have first-hand experience with and feel are worth my audience's attention. If you have a sponsorship opportunity you'd like to share, feel free to contact me.

I am also a brand ambassador for ProMediaGear. I am not paid or employed by the company, but rather simply someone who uses and recommends their products.
